Texas Appleseed is urging passage of legislation in the 83rd Session to meaningfully reduce the high cost of payday and auto title loans for Texas working families -- and to end predatory lending practices that trap too many Texas borrower in a cycle of debt.
Misbehavior that in another era might have resulted in a trip to the principal's office now leads to fines, citations, even criminal records in some cases in Texas.
