Texas Appleseed Events
Texas Appleseed hosts a variety of events throughout the year to honor leaders in the legal profession, thank our generous supporters, and inform the public about our work. Please find our latest events below.
I Heart Justice
I Heart Justice is a poster exhibition created to increase conversations about pressing justice issues facing our state. For our 2017 event, 20 artists from across Texas created limited-edition silkscreened prints. Sales of the posters benefit our nonprofit. Help support our work by purchasing a poster at IHeartJustice.org.
Wine & Wonks Happy Hours
"Wine & Wonks" is a casual way to catch up with Texas Appleseed. Stay tuned for more this year.
The Good Apple Dinner
The Board of Directors honors our Good Apple with our J. Chrys Dougherty Good Apple Award. We also present our Pro Bono Leadership Award at this gala in honor of pro bono service, and we honor groups and individuals with special recognition awards. Visit our Good Apple Dinner page to see our upcoming honoree and past honorees.
Visionary Society Receptions
The Visionary Society is a group of individuals committed to ensuring justice for their fellow Texans through their generous gifts to our organization. Visit our Visionary Society page to see our latest honorees and to learn how to become involved.
Pro Bono Appreciation Party
We could not achieve what we achieve without the support of our pro bono partners across the state and nationally. At these events, we celebrate the time and talent that attorneys, law firms, and the countless other individuals and volunteers give to help make a difference in people’s lives.
Texas Appleseed has been pleased to participate in SXSW EDU® the last two years. In March 2017, we led a panel called Organizing for Change - Creating a No Place for Hate about ending Pre-K through 2nd grade suspensions in our public schools. In 2016, our panel topic was Is My Subconscious the Problem? Racial Bias in Education. Visit Texas Appleseed's SXSW page for our 2016 presentation and resources.
